Online Payment banks in India : भारत में कुल 11 Payment Banks लांच किये थे, जिन में से कुछ बैंकों ने अपना लाइसेंस सरेंडर (लाइसेंस लौटाया गया) किया गया। इस पप्रकार के बैंक्स केवल डिजिटल पेमेंट्स के लिए उपयुक्त है। 11 अप्रैल 2016 को, Airtel ने भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) से Payment Bank का लाइसेंस प्राप्त किया। यह भारत की पहली पेमेंट बैंक है। इसे Airtel Payment Bank नाम से जाना जाता है। इसका उद्देश्य बैंकिंग सेवाओं को देश के प्रत्येक नागरिक के दरवाजे तक पहुंचाना है।

First payment bank in india : Bharti Airtel ने भारत में पहली पेमेंट बैंक 2016 में लांच किया और उसे Airtel Payments Bank के नाम से जाना जाता है। इसके आगे Paytm, India Post Payments Bank, Fino Payments Bank जैसे पेमेंट बैंकों ने भी RBI से लाइसेंस लेकर अपने पपैर भारत में पसारने लगे।

अभी तक के 41 कंपनियों ने RBI लाइसेंस प्राप्त करने के लिए आवेदन किया था, उनमे से RBI से लाइसेंस प्राप्त पेमेंट बैंकों की List निचे दी हुई है –
