Frequently Asked Questions — Evolute RD Service FAQ & Troubleshooting
Evolute RD Service typically binds to ports between 11100 and 11105 on 127.0.0.1 (localhost). If port 11100 is occupied by another Registered Device driver (such as Mantra or Morpho), Evolute automatically falls back to 11101, 11102, 11103, 11104, or 11105.
Connect your Identi5 scanner to your PC or mobile phone. Ensure the official Evolute RD Service software is running. Click 1. Run Initialization & Port Scan on this page. Our diagnostic tool will detect the device and allow you to inspect firmware details and perform a live biometric finger capture.
Click '1. Run Initialization & Port Scan'. Once the device is detected on localhost, click 'Serial Number'. The tool queries the device's internal XML parameters and displays the hardware serial number in the modal and terminal.
Yes! When the Evolute Leopard or Leopard Mini is connected to your Windows computer in USB PC-Link mode with the Evolute driver active, the integrated fingerprint scanner responds to standard UIDAI RD Service discovery commands.
Error 720 or NOT READY means the USB communication between the OS and the scanner was interrupted. Disconnect the USB cable, wait 5 seconds, reconnect directly to a high-power USB 2.0/3.0 port, open services.msc to restart "Evolute RD Service", and re-run Initialization.
